Recent decisions and staff recommendations issued by the CPSC like the "Request from the Fashion Jewelry Trade Association, et al. for Exclusion from Lead Content Limits under Section IOI(b)(1) of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)" indicate that the commissions commitment to safety in the childrens consumer product market remains strong. The commisions scientific analysis recognized that the Jewellry Associations arguments were reasonable but bottomline any risk was unacceptable.
